"Ukrposhta" has announced a charity sale of vintage Nagants to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine
This was announced by the company’s chief executive, Ihor Smilianskyi.
According to Smiliansky, the company usually shares positive news on Fridays, but this time it decided to break with this tradition due to the Day of Mourning declared in Kyiv following the Russian missile strike that claimed lives.
He emphasised that, although the dead cannot be brought back, Ukrainians can support the armed forces to help reduce the number of such tragedies in the future.
Ukrposhta regularly organises charity fundraisers for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in particular through the sale of collectable items. For every demilitarised weapon sold – a vintage Nagant or TT pistol – 1,000 UAH will be donated to support Ukrainian defenders.
As a reminder, it was previously reported that Ukrposhta had sold its last batch of old cars, including Land Cruisers and Volgas.
