The cost of renting apartments in Ukraine is increasing
The cost of renting apartments in Ukraine is gradually increasing - prices are rising within the limits of overall inflation. This is reported by thepublic.info citing the State Statistics Service (Ukrstat).
The average monthly rent for a one-room apartment in August 2025 was 7,712 hryvnias. Since the beginning of the year, prices have increased by 6.8%. Meanwhile, total inflation reached 6.0%.
According to the agency, the Zakarpattia region maintains the highest rental prices - 12,226 hryvnias. Since the beginning of the year, prices have increased by 3.9%.Lviv region remains in second place. The rental cost has increased by 7.6% to 11,244 hryvnias.In third place is Rivne region, where rent has increased by 4.1% since the beginning of the year to 10,293 hryvnias.The capital maintains fourth place in terms of cost. In Kyiv, rent has increased by 4.1% to 10,293 hryvnias.
The rental price is relatively high in western and some central regions of Ukraine. The lowest prices are in Kharkiv (3,942 hryvnias), Zaporizhzhia (3,843 hryvnias), and Kherson (3,243 hryvnias) regions.
