French journalists have identified the woman who was injured in the explosion in Monaco alongside Dnipro businessman Vadym Yermolayev. She has been identified as 46-year-old Anna Nasobina — the daughter of Oleksandr Nasobin, a former deputy prosecutor for the Dnipropetrovsk region.

This is according to the French newspaper *Nice-Matin*.

According to Nice-Matin, Anna Nasobina is originally from Dnipro. In 2023, she moved to London, where she became a partner at Wycombe Square Investments LLP, a firm providing tax services to non-residents.

In addition, in 2016, Nasobina co-founded the British private club Club Éclectique, which organises concerts, exhibitions and private events by invitation only.

The French publication notes that Russian artists linked to the Kremlin have performed at the club’s events, and that its guests have included members of the Russian diaspora in London. The club has also organised private evenings and gala events in Monaco.

What is known about the explosion

The explosion took place on the evening of 29 June in a residential building in Monaco where Vadim Yermolayev lived.

CCTV cameras captured an unidentified man leaving a rucksack in the building’s entrance hall. A short time later, it exploded.

Three people were injured as a result of the incident.

Anna Nasobina sustained the most serious injuries — doctors were forced to amputate her leg and foot. Her condition remains critical.

Investigators have already questioned Yermolayev and Nasobina’s son, born in 2012, who was also at the scene of the explosion and suffered burns. Law enforcement officers plan to question the businessman himself once his condition allows.

What is known about the investigation

French law enforcement have not yet arrested the suspect in the bombing.

The names of the victims have not been officially disclosed. However, several Ukrainian and French media outlets had previously reported that Vadym Yermolayev was among them. This information was later confirmed by his official wife, Anna, in a comment to ‘Suspilne’.

The French newspaper *Le Figaro*, citing its own sources, reported that the investigation is considering several possible motives for the crime, including the possible involvement of Ukrainian security services. However, French law enforcement agencies have not provided any official confirmation of this information.

What is known about Yermolayev

Vadym Yermolayev is one of Dnipro’s largest property developers.

Since the start of the full-scale war, he has been living outside Ukraine. In 2023

the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions on the businessman due to his alcohol business operations in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.

Ukraine is not prepared for major floods: an audit has revealed critical problems

Ukraine’s flood defence system does not ensure adequate preparedness for large-scale flooding. The Audit Office has concluded that the state system operates in a piecemeal manner, and that the critical state of the infrastructure, a lack of equipment and the public’s poor preparedness could lead to significant loss of life and property.
