The Pension Fund explained whether Ukrainians will lose their work experience without digitising their employment record books
This was reported by The Public with reference to the explanation of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The agency reported that digitising employment records is a recommended procedure that allows you to save information about your employment history and simplify the confirmation of your length of service in the future, but it is not a mandatory condition for preserving your insurance record.
According to the Pension Fund's explanation, work experience acquired after 1 January 2004 is already included in the state register of insured persons and does not need to be additionally entered into the electronic system.
At the same time, work experience acquired before 2004 is confirmed by a paper work record book. If it is not digitised, this work experience is not cancelled, but additional confirmation may be required when applying for a pension.
The Pension Fund also reported that digitisation avoids the risk of loss or damage to paper documents and simplifies access to information about employment.
The agency recommended that citizens check the availability of their data in the state electronic register and, if necessary, submit documents through the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
