Prosecutor's Office and SSU return UAH 53.8 million of unpaid taxes to the budget
The Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, served a notice of suspicion to the organiser of the conversion centre, the director of a private company and two accountants. According to the investigation, they provided tax minimisation services to businesses through a network of about 50 fictitious companies in Kyiv and Odesa region.
The actions of the defendants are classified under part three of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as tax evasion on a particularly large scale. The investigation established that in the period from January to August 2025, the conversion centre's clients deliberately understated their VAT liabilities by more than UAH 53.8 million.
During the pre-trial investigation, the suspects fully reimbursed the state for the unpaid taxes in this amount. The investigation is ongoing. Procedural supervision is provided by the Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv.
