Chef for the Armed Forces: what the military says about food reform
The reaction was posted on the soldier's Facebook page. The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine announced the start of the reform on 3 March.
In his post, the soldier expressed doubts about the feasibility of introducing more complex culinary solutions in field conditions. He noted that the priority for combat units remains the stable supply of basic foodstuffs.
The post discusses the complexity of preparing non-standard dishes in field conditions, as well as the lack of necessary infrastructure and equipment.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defence announced that as part of the "Preparing for Battle" reform, it plans to create a practical recipe book for military cooks, adapt civilian culinary practices to field conditions, train personnel, and regularly collect feedback from units.
The ministry noted that most military cooks do not have a relevant education, and there are currently no clearly defined work algorithms.
