Tetyana Petrenko, a senior detective at the Economic Security Bureau and former secretary to the deputy director, received 565 thousand UAH in payments from the budget on the eve of her dismissal. At virtually the same time, at least four other Bureau staff members received monthly salaries ranging from 255,000 to 465,000 hryvnias.

This is evidenced by data from the NACP’s Unified State Register of Declarations.

In particular, senior detective Tetiana Petrenko received 387.8 thousand UAH in severance pay and 176.9 thousand UAH in salary prior to her dismissal. Although she holds a certified post, according to the publication’s sources, she has been working over the past year as secretary to Pavlo Buzdygan, Deputy Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine (ESBU).

According to her declaration, she owns a flat in Kyiv and a BMW X1, which she purchased in 2023. Furthermore, Tetiana Petrenko is a member of the National Bar Association of Ukraine.

Apart from her, another senior detective at the Economic Security Bureau, Vitaliy Pavlov, received a record salary of 465,9 thousand UAH at the start of June. Of this amount, he spent 270 thousand UAH on a loan repayment on the very same day. The official owns a flat in Kyiv and rents another; he drives a Volkswagen. His declaration also lists $30,000 in savings, 25 of which belong to his wife.

Furthermore, 395,7 thousand UAH in salary was paid in June to Konstantin Spiridonov, a senior detective with the Main Detective Unit of the Economic Security Bureau (ESBU). Over the past year, he earned just over 1.2 million UAH at the ESBU. In total, the family has $18,000 and 135,000 UAH in savings. The detective also declares an flat in Chernihiv and a plot of land in the region, whilst his wife owns four plots of land and a house in the Chernihiv region.

His colleague Serhiy Solovey earned slightly less – 328,3 thousand UAH. The detective owns a flat in Mykolaiv and rents accommodation in Chaika. Last year, he received a gift of 420,000 hryvnias from a Ukrainian citizen, Daria Mykhailivna Solovei, and has 5,000 dollars in savings. Like Tetiana Petrenko, the detective is a member of the National Bar Association of Ukraine.

Vladyslav Hryhorenko, deputy head of the ESBU department, received a further 255.1 thousand UAH. The official does not own his own home, but uses a house belonging to close relatives in Kryukivshchyna and rents a flat in Kyiv. The family owns three cars: a Tesla, a Volvo and a Volkswagen Touareg.

It should be noted that the Economic Security Bureau may exhaust its entire budget for 2026 as early as September. This would lead to the complete collapse of the institution. Despite this, the bureau has significantly increased spending on overseas business trips, as well as the salaries of its senior management.
