The Russians attacked Ukraine overnight with drones and missiles containing 35,000 foreign components
This was announced by Vladislav Vlasyuk, the President of Ukraine’s representative for sanctions policy.
These are components manufactured by the following companies:
- US firms — Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, Intel and AMD;
- European companies — STMicroelectronics, Infineon, NXP (an independent firm headquartered in the Netherlands) and Bosch;
- Japanese firms — Murata and Toshiba.
- The weapons also contain components from the British company Raspberry, Chinese firms and others.
According to Vlasyuk, the Russians are purchasing components through intermediaries. At the same time, he added that the sanctions and export controls are having an effect — the Russians are no longer able to buy many parts for their weapons.
As previously reported, almost 90 per cent of Russian missiles and drones contain components from Japan.
