After the official round of consultations on ending the war had concluded, representatives from Kyiv and Moscow held another closed-door meeting, which lasted about an hour and a half.

The President of Ukraine spoke in favour of establishing European production of anti-aircraft missiles for air defence systems and emphasised the need to speed up decisions in the defence industry.

During the events organised by the International Energy Agency, the Ukrainian side initiated a new architecture for cooperation with partners and invited them to Kyiv on the symbolic date of 26 April.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that since the beginning of 2026, international partners have allocated $584 million to the PURL programme. The total funding requirement for this year is $15 billion.

The United States will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, as this could trigger an uncontrolled arms race in the Middle East. Washington has called this its key interest and has not ruled out the use of force if negotiations fail.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukrainian society would not support a peace agreement that would involve the unilateral withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the controlled part of Donbas and its transfer to Russia. According to him, any decision regarding the territories must be put to a referendum.

Ukraine expects that new defence support packages, tailored to clearly defined needs, will begin to arrive by 24 February. This was stated by Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva during a meeting with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Boris Ruge.

Special forces from the Alpha Special Operations Centre of the Security Service of Ukraine carried out a series of night strikes on Russian military infrastructure deep behind enemy lines. Among the targets destroyed were headquarters, warehouses, a logistics hub and a drone production facility.

On the eve of the resumption of peace talks in Geneva, the situation surrounding Ukraine remains complex and controversial. Despite cautious optimism at the beginning of the year, recent events in Kyiv and Moscow have revealed new risks, and key issues of security and territory remain unresolved.

Block-modular boiler rooms and components for them were delivered to Kyiv and the Kyiv region by rail. The equipment was provided as humanitarian aid by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration to ensure a stable heat supply during peak loads.

Angolan citizen Bento Adriano Mendes donated more than 80 electric generators worth tens of thousands of euros to Ukraine. Some of the equipment was received by the M. M. Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages.
