A grenade was found on one of Lviv’s streets — a trolleybus driver spotted it and evacuated the passengers
This was announced by the mayor, Andriy Sadovyi.
The grenade was found on Zelena Street. The driver of trolleybus No. 24 spotted a suspicious object on the road and stopped the vehicle, after which he promptly evacuated the passengers. No one was injured.
Law enforcement officers are currently at the scene. Investigators are trying to establish how the munition ended up in the middle of the road. The grenade itself will be removed and defused by bomb disposal experts.
Traffic on this stretch of road has not been blocked. The police are directing traffic and allowing vehicles to pass.
