A dispute broke out in Odessa between a local resident and a restaurant owner, which ended with the woman being assaulted. According to initial reports, the row was sparked by a complaint about tiles being cut in the courtyard of a residential building

This was reported by OBOZ.UA.

The incident took place on 13 June in Odesa. According to local resident Iryna Chaykhorka, the dispute began after she made a comment to a man regarding work being carried out near her home. The issue concerned the cutting of tiles in the courtyard, which allegedly caused dust to enter residents’ windows.

"The woman is in hospital. Just a comment about the fact that cutting tiles in the courtyard, where the dust gets into residents’ windows, caused such aggression on his part," she wrote.

What is known about the victim’s condition

Following the incident, the woman was taken to hospital. The victim herself noted in the comments on the post that she was feeling relatively well. A video of the incident has also appeared online. The footage shows the man hitting the woman and swearing. A few seconds later, bystanders intervene and stop the altercation.

According to the publication’s sources, law enforcement have already opened a criminal investigation into the incident. All the circumstances of the altercation, as well as the actions of those involved, are currently being established.
