The only private manufacturer of 12.7 mm cartridges has suspended operations following searches by the Security Service of Ukraine
This was reported by The Public with reference to UNN and comments by the company's director, Igor Goltvenko.
Igor Goltvenko, director of Spetsmashkomplekt LLC, said that the company had stopped production after searches were conducted as part of criminal proceedings.
According to him, the searches took place on 12 February 2026 at the company's premises, at the homes of its management, and at some of the company's contractors. After that, the company ceased operations due to a lack of new orders.
Criminal proceedings were opened in October 2025. The investigation materials indicate that company officials may have organised the production of cartridges using substandard components and allowed violations of the technological process.
The proceedings were opened under an article concerning possible obstruction of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Goltvenko said that representatives of the company held a meeting at the Office of the Prosecutor General, where they presented their position. According to him, the Office of the Prosecutor General promised an objective investigation.
He also noted that the company insists on the quality of its products and their compliance with established requirements. According to the manager, the products have undergone the necessary tests and have the appropriate certificates, and the company has previously fulfilled orders from the Ministry of Defence without any complaints.
The director of the company added that the company insists on additional examinations and expects that their results will confirm the proper quality of the cartridges.
