Lubinec announced an agreement with Russia regarding prisoners of war and those missing in action
Dmytro Lubinets announced this on his Telegram channel.
What the parties agreed on
According to the Ombudsman, the meeting took place during the latest exchange of prisoners of war. During the talks, the parties agreed to continue reciprocal visits to Ukrainian and Russian prisoners of war, as well as further verification of Ukrainians held in Russian captivity.
In addition, representatives from Ukraine and Russia exchanged lists of servicemen considered missing in action in order to verify information regarding their possible captivity.
Exchange of documents
Separately, the parties submitted requests to one another for copies of documents relating to civil law matters. According to Lubinets, they plan to continue working in this area.
“For me, the main outcome is helping our citizens: those held captive, those missing in action, and their families,” the ombudsman emphasised.
