Kazakhstan has restricted border crossings for passenger cars and lorries from neighbouring countries to once a day. The government attributes this to efforts to combat the ‘grey market’ export of fuel, against the backdrop of a sharp rise in consumption in regions bordering Russia.

Vladimir Boiko, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, claimed that Vitaliy Shabunin, head of the Anti-Corruption Action Centre, had allegedly passed on a document marked ‘For official use only’, even though he had denied access to such documents during a meeting of the parliamentary Temporary Investigation Commission. No official conclusions from the TSK or law enforcement agencies regarding this statement have yet been made public.

One of Ukraine’s largest private defence companies — Ukrainian Armoured Vehicles LLC — has reported that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out searches at its premises and that the company’s first deputy director was beaten. The company claims that the investigative actions are linked to a case concerning the supply of single-use anti-tank grenade launchers to the Defence Forces.

Almost 45 per cent of Poles believe that Poland provided too much military aid to Ukraine following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion. At the same time, over a third of those surveyed described the level of support as adequate.

In Wrocław, Poland, a 19-year-old Ukrainian man was beaten on Slodowa Island after speaking Ukrainian on his mobile phone. According to the victim, a group of young men knocked him to the ground, hit him on the head and kicked him, and after the attack laughed that they had ‘beaten up a Ukrainian’.

British singer Bonnie Tyler, known for her hits ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’, ‘Holding Out for a Hero’ and ‘It’s a Heartache’, has died at the age of 75. She passed away in a hospital in Portugal following an illness for which she had been receiving treatment.

NATO has agreed to change the format of the Baltic Air Policing mission in the Baltic states, expanding it into an air defence mission. This will allow Alliance aircraft to operate under broader rules for responding to air threats.

Law enforcement agencies are conducting pre-trial investigations into the events that took place in Lviv during an incident involving representatives of the regional recruitment centre. One of the attackers has already been arrested.
