The High Anti-Corruption Court has refused to grant permission for the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Pavlo Kyrylenko, to travel abroad. The official had planned a trip to Paris to attend an event organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) have announced that they have uncovered a scheme involving the misappropriation of nearly 170 million hryvnias during the construction of the Tashlyk Pumped Storage Power Plant in the Mykolaiv region. The names of the suspects have not been officially disclosed, but Ukrainian media have identified possible individuals implicated in the case.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) believe he may have received $50,000 from the former head of the Supreme Court, Vsevolod Knyazev, although Prokopenko himself did not vote in favour of the position that would have benefited Kostyantyn Zhevago.

Igor Khmelov, a business partner of Timur Mindich, has been buying up land and holiday resorts near Bukovel for millions of dollars since 2022.

Officially, the case involves three sitting Supreme Court judges and one retired Supreme Court judge. The anti-corruption authorities have not disclosed the names of the new individuals implicated, but information regarding the likely parties involved in the case and their background has already emerged in the public domain.
