A large-scale forest fire is raging on the outskirts of Chernihiv Oblast, having been sparked by Russian shelling. Over the past 24 hours, the area affected by the fire has almost doubled.
Over 1,100 hectares of forest are on fire in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone
Efforts to bring a large-scale forest fire under control are continuing in the exclusion zone. Due to strong winds and dry weather, the fire is spreading rapidly to new areas of the forest.
