Xi Jinping called on China and Russia to trust one another

During a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that China and Russia must “trust one another”, support one another and strengthen strategic coordination. The meeting took place on 15 April against the backdrop of active contacts between Moscow and Beijing on international issues, in particular the war in Ukraine and the situation surrounding Iran.
